You support on the SCADA system that controls and monitors the Formation process - the final step in the battery manufacturing process.

 

The role involves exposure to the SCADAs at both the pilot line and Gigafactory. The Gigafactory project will evolve from design, following the software development phase, and implementation/testing at the Gigafactory.

 

You are embracing the objective of building and structuring Verkor as the most advanced battery manufacturing company in the world.




Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with external SCADA system vendors during the design review process, ensuring alignment with factory requirements and standards.

  • Work with the SCADA vendor to define and configure control strategies, including route planning, recipe management, and data collection, to optimize battery production efficiency.

  • Oversee the software development and integration process, ensuring timely and efficient implementation of SCADA systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA system issues, including hardware and software components, in coordination with the external vendor, to minimize downtime and maintain production continuity

  • Provide comprehensive training to production and maintenance teams on the use and maintenance of SCADA systems to ensure efficient utilization.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system specifications, operating procedures, and change control records.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of SCADA systems and keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Pursuing studies in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Preferred: experience in SCADA software, including but not limited to Wonderware, Ignition, or Siemens WinCC.

  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and configuration, especially with Allen-Bradley or Siemens controllers.

  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet/IP.

  • Ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for diagnosing and resolving SCADA system issues.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with external SCADA system vendors, cross-functional teams, and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Certification in SCADA-related technologies or industrial automation is a plus.
