Founding Lead Developer: Machine Learning + API Focus

DitchCarbon closes the gap between enterprise sustainability goals and the daily actions that drive emissions reduction.  We are doing this by building the world’s most complete climate data repository - aggregating emissions data on millions of companies and products - and building APIs to embed our data where buyers make decisions.

Stage: pre-seed, angel funded startup with live customers/partners. On track for £250k ARR in 2023 and raise Seed round in Q1 2024.

Minimum requirements:

• Senior dev with significant Ruby on Rails experience

• Founding lead dev mindset: ability to rapidly deploy code to deliver on customer requirements, willingness to work primarily for equity compensation prior to Seed raise (Q124) on full or part time basis

• Passion for enabling climate action at global scale

Preferred qualifications: 

• Experience managing data pipelines to transform unstructured data into useful information at scale

• Recent experience working with ML/LLM models 

What you’ll do:

• Own development, and work with your fellow founders to agree on product outcomes. You’ll work with existing devs while delivering code yourself to get the job done 

• Lead technical discussions to implement roadmap. Our current roadmap includes improving entity resolution, broadening the data we ingest, and building extractions on top of our existing dataset
