Overview
You will be a key member of our engineering team. You will help the team build new products and bring innovative carbon management solutions to the market. You will put the user first, prioritize business impact, and pursue engineering excellence. You will actively participate in discussions about strategy, architecture, and road mapping fusing your engineering experience and commercial awareness. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations. You should be able to work autonomously on engineering tasks when required. Your competency with engineering best practices is critical. Your experience rapidly designing, building, and operating backend services and frontends will be invaluable. You should be capable and confident in contributing to full-stack engineering initiatives. Your knack for articulating technical concepts to others will help the team succeed. Finally, your passion for delivering world-class carbon management software will be essential.
Responsibilities
Design and build distributed services, RESTful APIs, modular front ends, and performant data storage solutions. Monitor and maintain these systems to ensure quality and scalability.
You will drive features from conception to through implementation to delivery and post-release support.
Support maintenance of the system, including relevant on-call rotations and incident response.
Collaborate closely with a diverse team of developers across a variety of domains. Flexibility and adaptation are essential.
Drive technical decisions and uphold a high quality bar for the codebases that you own.
Mentor junior developers and help the team continue to grow and improve.
Maintain an inclusive culture where shared successes are valued over personal wins.
Occasionally, you will work with a variety of stakeholders across science, tech, product, marketing, and more to make pragmatic, impact driven decisions. You are able to balance between business outcomes, product wins, design goals, and engineering excellence to deliver excellent results with your software.
Qualifications
Experience with Application Development and/or Platform Engineering
JavaScript familiarity is a must, Node and React experience is a strong plus
You have experience building web applications with modern UI frameworks
You have experience working with cloud infrastructure providers and CI/CD
You are an excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator
You thrive in a fast-paced, outcome-oriented professional environment
You are able to build strong relationships while working with a distributed team.
You have a track record of identifying and acquiring new and relevant skills
You have a passion for writing and maintaining excellent code
You have a laser focus on shipping and driving business outcomes
You have a passion for addressing climate change
Experience building new products and platforms is a strong plus
Experience working in the climate technology space is a strong plus
Salary
$138,000-$169,000
