Your role as a DevOps Engineer…

As a DevOps engineer at BuildingMinds, you will be part of a top-notch engineering team. As the team is expanding fast, you will provide the means to keep our development activities running effectively. You will own our repos, CI/CD, infrastructure automation and partner with the developers to constantly identify ways to increase developer productivity. With a strong focus on quality and your own software development expertise you can also coach developers on how to automate and operate the cloud infrastructure their code is running on. You will work with our Fullstack developers on a cloud-native state-of-the art technology stack (e.g. Angular 9, Server less Microservices in TypeScript, NoSQL) that is constantly expanding.

 

In detail you will…

  • Develop cloud-based applications on a microservice architecture
  • Create automation scripts, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement application performance monitoring
  • Coach and support team members in the use of the tools and technologies
  • Support the use and implementation of agile tools and methodologies

We would like to hear from you if you…

  • A higher degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent
  • Around 5 years of relevant DevOps experience
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud infrastructure automation
  • Managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with application performance monitoring and centralized logging in distributed architectures
  • Experience with serverless microservice architecture
  • Database management: SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Ideally, you also know your way around: Site reliability engineering, DevOps tools such as Terraform, agile software development processes, Kubernetes, helm
  • You are passionate about high quality cloud solutions and software development
  • You have a strong interest in technology and keeping up with the trends and best practices for modern development approaches                                              
  • You have experience with application performance management
  • You have experience with the CI/CD processes of complex microservice-based cloud solutions
  • You are used to working with agile methodologies in a quickly changing environment 
  • You are pragmatic and willing to try new approaches looking for the best way to get the right results
  • You are a team player
