Your mission

Your role in the Circle Economy team

As a Project Manager, you will be providing support to Content Leads and Business Developers in the creation of work schedules and budgets at the start of a project and then tracking the project through its life cycle until completion. You will have the responsibility to provide project status information to the Programme Lead. 

Your profile

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the project budget and work plans for new projects and/or teams.

• Providing stakeholder liaison and support.

• Facilitating internal project progress meetings.

• Listing and reviewing solutions to mitigate project delivery risks and accommodate client requests.

• Facilitating decision making within projects with the programme lead, senior project manager, implementation leads and/or senior management, escalating where needed

• Adhere to the CE project management framework; play the role of PM change agent in the implementation of our project management framework improvements

• Monitoring, administering and reporting project/team delivery progress in relation to the work plan, budget and time against original budgets

• Support the programme lead coordinating and managing the projects portfolio together with the other PM.

• Support business developers in budgeting, contracting and planning phases once the project converts.

Skills and Competencies

• You have 3 + years experience managing projects, knowledge of working in an agile project delivery environment is advantageous.

• You are independent and self-starting.

• You are a high achiever with a very strong focus on achieving set targets and objectives.

• You have a college degree or qualification (in Dutch: HBO-opleiding) in Business Administration, Non-profit management, Project management, or similar

• You have a keen interest in sustainability and/or the circular economy but don’t need any working experience.

• You are an excellent communicator.

• You are looking for a perfect learning environment to broaden your expertise in the application of project and work management.

• You have good social skills, can work in a multilingual and multidisciplinary team and know-how and when to align with other project stakeholders.

• You are a quick learner and able to deal with unexpected new situations.

• You are fluent in English. French, Dutch, German or Spanish are a plus.

What we offer you

For this role, we are offering an initial 1 year contract between 32 and 40 hours per week. Salary is competitive, keeping in mind we are a non-­profit, start­up organisation, based in Amsterdam.
