Advanced Electrical Systems Engineer
Job Description
As an, Advanced Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, delivering and testing electrical power architecture and protective systems for use across multiple voltage levels (e.g. 800V, 28V and 12V-5V, DC and AC). This will be a hands on role, where you will have autonomy to apply creative thinking to develop innovative solutions to complex electrical powertrain system distribution challenges. You will be working closely with a variety of engineering teams, both in-house and external suppliers.
It goes without saying, you will need excellent communication and integration skills, as you will be in charge of identifying potential risk, project deviations and communicating these to your stakeholders, as well as setting clear objectives for external suppliers and partners and managing these through to successful delivery. You will report directly into the LV/HV IPT Lead and be a key member of the powertrain team, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities.
What would we like you to bring.We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience with “800V energy storage and distribution systems”, or similar, along with electrical distribution and protection systems.
Additionally, you will need good skills / knowledge of verification and certification processes, as well as good working knowledge of regulatory certification and qualification standards. Ideally you will have gained this experience from either Aerospace or Automotive sectors.
