About The Role
44.01 is on the hunt for a seasoned Process Engineer with a knack for innovation to bolster our Research & Technology Development (RTD) team. In this pivotal role, you'll be entrusted with spearheading novel CO2 sequestration methodologies, particularly focusing on low TRL process development. From concept to implementation, your expertise will span the entirety of the technology development lifecycle, ensuring our processes not only encapsulate fundamental scientific principles but are also scalable and adhere to the technological basis.
What You'll Do
Process Design & Development
Craft process concept designs, develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), process control logic, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Execute engineering calculations for sizing and specification of process equipment.
Compile Process Equipment Datasheets and draft technical layouts for proposal evaluations.
Research & Collaboration
Support prototyping and feasibility studies, and conduct risk assessments as well as cost-benefit analyses.
Work alongside the research team to translate fundamental scientific principles to scalable field operations.
Analysis & Optimization
Focus on CAPEX, OPEX, and CO2 emission optimization.
Utilize Process Simulation software, like HYSYS, to craft and refine concepts.
Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation
Engage with external entities for proposal submissions and process inputs.
Review and evaluate technical documentation, scope of work, and design requirements.
Author comprehensive reports and assist with Intellectual Property (IP) filings.
Continuous Learning
Stay updated with industry advancements, CO2 system designs, and emerging technologies.
Seek and integrate innovative solutions to enhance our process designs.
