Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels. 

We are looking for Firmware Interns for Summer 2024 to help bring up and maintain firmware features for the CVM and other projects. You will aid in the implementation and testing of new firmware features on microcontrollers used in our hydrogen electrolyzer stack. You will work onsite at our San Jose, CA office and report into the Lead Power and Software Engineer.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with hardware to bring up new PCBA features and bring up firmware for new PCBAs
  • Set up prototype systems in the lab (wiring, soldering, assembling components)
  • Analyze data from the product operating in the field and make improvements to fix issues and add new functionality

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a BS or higher pursuing a degree in Engineering degree (electrical engineering or computer science)
  • Hands-on lab experience with the embedded systems in applications and able to write and debug C code
  • CAN and ethernet communications
  • Electronics lab protoyping/soldering
  • Linux/command line tools and JTAG/debugging tools

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Pay + $1,500 transportation stipend will be provided or $3,000 relocation stipend (depending on location)

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
