Your mission About the Global Value Chains team To drive the transition to a global circular economy at the speed and scale necessary,transnational cooperation and public private partnerships across global value chains are essential. Circle Economy Foundation has the ambition to increase and accelerate our impact globally through the development of long term strategic initiatives with (supranational) institutions and value chain actors across production, consumption and end-of-use countries.   The Global Value Chains team at Circle Economy Foundation works to:<ul><li>Assess the current circular state of global value chains and identify the most suitable circular strategies;</li><li>Pilot the feasibility of circular interventions with multiple value chain actors; and</li><li>Scale circular interventions by creating the right incentives for value chain actors. </li></ul>Some of our current work includes the <a href="http://switchtocircular.eu">SWITCH to Circular Value Chains programme</a>: an EU-funded initiative that will pilot circular economy actions in three value chains: textiles and garments, plastics (packaging), ICT and electronics in Bangladesh, Morocco and Egypt respectively. This is delivered in partnership with UNIDO, Chatham House and the European Investment Bank, with Circle Economy Foundation leading on the assessment of circularity in all three value chains and the development of a train-the-trainer programme, including educational and awareness-raising tools.   Your profile About You <ul><li>You are an independent, self-starting Master's student with a background in or strong interest for Economics, Political Science, Sustainable Development, Environmental Sciences. </li><li>You are passionate about sustainability and are eager to gain in-depth expertise on the circular economy </li><li>You are comfortable diving into the deep end and learning about all different aspects of project execution to broaden your expertise in the application of the circular economy in global value chains.</li><li>You have strong critical and analytical skills, can tackle complex problems, and can look at problems and solutions from a systems/holistic perspective. </li><li>You have fluency in verbal and written communication in English and French (highly desirable ) -any other languages are a plus. </li></ul>Role and projects <ul><li>Your role is to directly support the Global Value Chains team with both the execution of their research and piloting projects, as well as their programme development work. </li><li>You will support research activities, including literature reviews, stakeholder mapping, the preparation of both internal and external documents and workshop materials. </li><li>You will also assist with other ad-hoc duties such as project management assistance, the development of proposals or external communications. </li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Currently enrolled in a study programme.
