InfoSec Specialist (Volunteer)

Note: The following is an opportunity for flexible, part-time, volunteer work to address climate change. Please DO NOT APPLY if you are only looking for paid employment. A 6 months commitment is preferred. This is a remote-from-home position.

We are looking for action-oriented individuals who are excited to address climate change. As a startup, we are looking for people who will help build and scale our impact and at the same time are willing to roll up their sleeves to get stuff done! Responsibilities

• InfoSec policies: Implement comprehensive information security policies and protocols that comply with regulatory requirements.

• Document Writing: Help put together comprehensive documentation for current systems and processes, including creation of technical diagrams.

• International Data protection: Develop and oversee implementation of data protection, especially taking into consideration international framework such as GDPR and CCPA.

• Third party security assessment: Make Earth Hero compliant with potential third party security assessments.

Experiences useful in this role

• 1+ year of experience in information security is essential or graduating student.
• Ability to take initiative, learn new things, and apply them.
• Proactivity in project management.

Expectations

You will work remotely and on your own schedule. Roles work best with a minimum commitment of 3 months for 3 - 5 hours a week (or more if you like!). Because our all-volunteer team is spread throughout the world, we rely mostly on a combination of Slack, Github, and video calls to communicate.

If you possess a high level of self-motivation, work well in teams, enjoy the opportunity to partner with like-minded individuals, and can commit quality time per week to help achieve team goals, we would love to hear from you.
