Joining Ioniqa’s teams for an internship means being part of an enthusiastic team working on the development of chemical recycling of PET plastic. Internships can be related to almost every unitary step of the process such as the reaction kinetics, by-products, colour removal steps and more. As intern, you will be responsible for performing laboratory work, literature studies and reporting the gathered data to you supervisor and the wider team. Ioniqa is a clean-tech spinoff from the Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands), specialized in creating value out of plastic waste by using its proprietary circular technology. With a cost- effective process, Ioniqa is able to close the loop for plastics, starting with PET plastics. This multiple award-winning innovation transforms all types and colors of PET waste into valuable resources for ‘virgin-quality’ new PET. Upcycling processes for other types of plastics are being researched and expected to be launched in the near future.
