We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Finance Associate The successful candidate will assist in various financial and administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of our financial department.

About LeydenJar

LeydenJar is a high-tech company, developing pure silicone anodes for a lithium-ion battery that will change the world. We are proud that, here at LeydenJar, we:

  • boost Li-ion battery energy density by 70% by using 10x thinner anodes
  • improved cycle life to >450
  • achieved fast charging to 60% in under 10 min!

We are currently still in an R&D phase, but we are ready to start the actual production of anode foil. LeydenJar Plant One will open in 2026.


You will be responsible for:

  • Assist in processing invoices, verifying expenses, and maintaining accurate records of payments and receivables.
  • Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Support the budgeting process by gathering relevant financial information, preparing budget reports, and assisting in budget analysis.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department, including organizing documents, scheduling meetings, and assisting with correspondence.
  • Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines and policies.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and gathering information for internal and external audits.
  • Keep systems up to date ( filling in the information, checking the information, and maintaining the system)
  • Creation of financial reports ( WKR reports)
  • Maintaining creditor administration
  • Training employees/ end users on system usage.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing.
  • Assist in the setup of workflows

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in similar role. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
  • A great team player and always willingly to learn
  • Fluency in English and Dutch verbally as well as in writing.
