Summary:
SF Motors, as an advanced Electric Vehicle and related technology R&D company, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology to create cutting-edge solutions that enhance human life and revolutionize various industries. As we embark on the development of smart and AI assisted electric vehicles, we are seeking a talented AI contractor to join our dynamic team and contribute to our AI assisted EV projects.
As an AI Engineer (contractor) with SF Motors, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced AI algorithms and systems for the related projects. You may also contribute to the development of large language models and other AI related products such as robotics. This position is expected to bring in AI knowledge and tools for the team, to support and speed up the development of cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate has experience developing large language models and/or artificial neural networks and implementing them in GPU with CUDA.
This is an on-site role based in Milpitas, California.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop large language models and implement them in GPU with CUDA
- Develop artificial neural networks for required functions.
- Designing and implementing AI algorithms for perception, decision-making, and interaction in humanoid robots.
- Developing machine learning models for various tasks such as object recognition, speech processing, and natural language understanding.
- Utilizing state-of-the-art techniques in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision to enhance capabilities of our EV.
- Fine-tuning parameters and configurations to improve the responsiveness, robustness, and adaptability in diverse environments.
- Define software and hardware requirements/tools for developing the AI related products
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to identify gaps and clarify system requirements
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
- Provide technical presentations and tutorials as needed
Required Education and Experience:
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of proven experience in developing large language models, machine learning, and/or other AI engineering fields
- Expertise in GPU programming with CUDA
- Expertise in modeling and programming of artificial neural networks
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with standard robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2, simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo), and hardware platforms (e.g., robot manipulators, humanoid robot kits)
- Experience with real-time simulation tools and their applications to robotics.
- Expertise in a robotics discipline such as perception, motion planning, and state estimation
