Sightline Climate accelerates the deployment of climate tech solutions through industry leading data, analytics, and research. Sightline’s subscription intelligence platform gives investors, corporates, and governments the insights they need to confidently build and finance the new climate economy. Sightline Climate also produces CTVC, the industry-leading newsletter read by 60,000 climate leaders.
We are looking for a highly-motivated Data Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our data products. As a key member of our product team, you will work closely with the data and engineering teams to create innovative AI-enabled data solutions that empower Sightline clients to make informed decisions in the climate tech space. The ideal candidate should have product management experience and be passionate about data and climate tech.
The Role
Product Strategy and Roadmap
Work with founders to define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Sightline’s internal AI data tool and content management system.
Collaborate with the data team and engineers to identify new product opportunities and enhancements.
Lead data product development from concept to launch, including defining requirements, prioritizing features, and managing the product lifecycle.
Workflow Management:
Use agile methodologies or similar to ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
Manage the data product backlog, track progress using JIRA, and lead sprints.
Ensure effective project and workflow management through regular updates and sprint planning.
User Insights and Engagement:
Engage with internal and external users to understand their needs, pain points, and usage patterns.
Translate user feedback into actionable product improvements and new features.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and report on product success.
Identify and address any issues or bottlenecks to optimize product performance and user experience.
The Essentials
Previous experience in a Product Manager or Product Owner position.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in product management with multiple stakeholders in an international environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Capacity to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams with ease.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
A Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
A Plus
Knowledge of climate tech and sustainability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in financial markets, investment banking, private equity, and venture capital.
