🧪 Nerd out with us (our work in the lab).

Our core innovation is an energy-efficient electrochemical synthesis that enables low-energy splitting of brine into acids and bases, using half the energy of conventional processes, and operating at ambient temperature and pressure. Our team is sprinting towards a 1 ton per day prototype, of our “electrosynthesizer" - something you'll help us with!

What you’ll do here (we can’t wait)!

Our next hire (we hope that's you!) will likely join our R&D team, helping us to build, optimize and scale up the system to support commercial volumes of acid-base production, carbon capture, and sequestration/utilization.

Electrochemical Engineers will work as part of our Electrochemistry Team to help us develop and scale our electrosynthesizer (what we call our electrochemical synthesis technology).

Process Engineers who join our Balance of Plant Team will build, test, and optimize the balance of plant and system optimization. You will also participate in the creation of control systems and help construct prototypes for field deployment.

All our R&D Team members will be empowered to drive innovation, champion R&D lines of effort, and be an active participant (not a bystander) in the full process. You’ll work on problems that matter, connect to a larger purpose, and see your ideas come to life!

Some Experiences You May Bring

  • Education in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or related climate-science field

  • Lab experience in Electrochemistry, decarbonization or field related to our work

  • Chemical industry experience or demonstrated academic experiences related to our work

  • Hands on experience designing & building systems

  • Proficiency in Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and process development.

  • Experience in fluid piping system design and pressure drop calculations.

What You Get When You Join Us!

  • Base pay by level (see below). It’s not about how strong of a negotiator you are - our pay is based on transparent levels & pay bands relative to experience. They are benchmarked to market date, and audited twice a year, adjusting for market or inflation changes

Our Hiring Process

Our success hinges on talented people (you!) and intention around our creating a positive environment where we can all do our best work. The fit needs to be mutual - we want folks who are excited and committed to what we're building, and we want folks to be happy with their decision to work here. 3. 🖥️ Hiring Manager Technical Interview - 45 min, zoom - this is where we dig into specifics about your experience, technical questions, and learn more about how you think.

  4. 🖥️ Loop Interview - 3x 30 min, zoom - you'll have 3 back to back quick meets with members of our team. This is a little more than a meet and greet, but we'll share some insight on what each person will focus on, prior to your meet.

  5. ⛪️ Onsite (Optional) - 2-3 hours, in person - you'll travel to our HQ, meet the team, tour our office, and sit down with us face to face. We pay for your travel costs.

  6. 🎉 Offer Dialogue - we'll schedule a call for verbal offer (or tell you F2F at the end of your onsite visit, followed by a written offer. We use transparent pay bands to compensate for equitably for experience, rather than rewarding negotiation skills.
