Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Intern to join our team and drive our brand partnership initiatives forward. As a Business Development Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our New Growth team by identifying and nurturing potential brand relationships with new partners. This position demands excellent communication skills, a genuine interest in social media, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients.

With the opportunity to engage directly with potential brands, you will become a vital advocate in their journey. Your insights and interactions will be instrumental in shaping the path of these partnerships. Our portfolio of brand partners is expanding rapidly and includes notable names such as Haagen Dazs, The Ordinary, Taco Bell, Oura Ring, Free People, Anthropologie, OLIPOP, Hello Fresh, Sparkling Ice, and Notion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new brand opportunities through outbound outreach, including emails, phone calls, and social media.

  • Perform comprehensive market research to uncover potential clients and stay abreast of industry trends.

  • Research companies and add prospects to our outbound list.

  • Aid in the creation and delivery of compelling sales presentations.

  • Support the Growth and Brand teams in cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Engage in client meetings, providing essential follow-up support to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of effective sales strategies.

  • Analyze sales data to generate insightful reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment of sales initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Graduating with a B.S. (or higher) from a 4 year accredited university.

  • Demonstrate exceptional listening skills and exude an energetic phone demeanor.

  • Proficient in utilizing sales, prospecting, and marketing tools and processes.

  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset, displaying initiative and adaptability within ambiguous frameworks.

  • Communicate with clarity and confidence, delivering engaging presentations.

  • Showcase meticulous attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational skills.

  • Thrive in a dynamic, collaborative setting characterized by a fast-paced environment.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience at a high-growth startup.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms, SEO, community and online advertising.

  • Previous experience in technology or working with brands directly.
