Electrician, Jetson

Home heating accounts for ~10% of global GHG emissions and up to 40% of a home’s energy use–which is still primarily fueled by dirty sources in North America. Electric heat pumps are well established but haven’t been widely adopted due to transaction friction, high upfront costs and post-installation performance issues.

 

Jetson’s solution removes these pain points to incentivize mass adoption. Our custom hardware means lower equipment costs, which paired with government incentives can significantly reduce upfront capital requirements. Our software monitoring platform provides insights to optimize heat pump performance and harmonize energy consumption with grid needs in the long run, saving homeowners money and aiding in the transition to our net-zero future.

 

We are looking for extremely motivated and passionate Electricians who would like to be a part of an exciting new company looking to fight climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry. As our first install crew, we are looking for individuals with deep residential install experience to help us prototype processes and procedures that we will be implementing across North America. You will be responsible for working as a part of a crew to remove gas furnaces, install electric heat pump systems, and collaborate with engineering teams on how the product can be improved and the install process streamlined.

 

- Install, maintain, and repair residential electric heat pumps

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams

- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs

- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems

- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently

- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards

- Test electrical systems for functionality and efficiency

 

- Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role

- FSR designation nice to have, but not necessary

- Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in electrical work

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks

- Valid drivers license

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
