<h3>Mission</h3><p>Our mission is to decouple protein production from agricultural land and create an era of food abundance for humanity. We use natural fermentation and a renewable-energy based feedstock to produce amino acid complete protein ingredients. While practically all fermentation methods up till now relied on sugars - which are derived from crops grown on agricultural land - we based our fermentation platform on an easily storable and shippable liquid feedstock which can be made from the air with just renewable energy. This allows us to bypass the inefficiency of photosynthesis and break free of its limiting constraints.</p><h3>Team</h3><p>We're a small, highly technical team with diverse background (Vegetarian Butcher, DSM, Noma) from all over the world. Our brewery, R&amp;D, test kitchen and offices are all integrated under a single roof, optimised for high speed iteration.</p><h2>Role</h2><p>Farmless is a fast growing, venture backed startup with an ambitious mission to brew proteins on a planetary scale. We do this by vertically integrating food production: simple feedstocks in, nutritious and tasty proteins out. In this role you will spearhead the downstream processing of our fermented broth. From designing and building upon the first DSP iterations to constructing Farmless’ first of a kind protein brewery, you will lead the way.<br></p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Design, construct and operate our down stream processing</p></li><li><p>Figure out which drying methods are most suitable for our fermentation process</p></li><li><p>Optimise DSP process for yields and food functionality at scale</p></li><li><p>Source equipment and get it operational</p></li></ul><p></p><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Proven track record in pasturisation, centrifugation, drying, etc. in an industrial setting</p></li><li><p>Experience in setting up and/or operating DSP processes fulfilling all food quality &amp; safety requirements.</p></li><li><p>Can think from first principles</p></li><li><p>Knows how to optimise for speed AND costs</p></li><li><p>Can seek out risks while knowing the limits of how far they can go</p></li><li><p>Our mission of revolutionising food production truly excites you</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Able to understand and dive into other topics such as fermentation and food application</p></li><li><p>Previous startup experience is greatly appreciated</p><p></p></li></ul><p><strong>What we offer</strong></p><ul><li><p>Market rate salary + equity package</p></li><li><p>Work together with driven, ambitious people on building the protein production platform of the future</p></li><li><p>We’re based in Amsterdam, so you can cycle to work every day :-)</p></li><li><p>We have daily plant based lunches and an unlimited supply of snacks and fresh fruits</p></li></ul>

<p>Agriculture has taken over almost half of all habitable land on earth, pushing nature over the brink, and the world needs an affordable protein source that can be produced without the need for agricultural land. Farmless has found a way to achieve this: by brewing carbon-negative, functional proteins with a complete amino acid profile.</p> <p>The Farmless process combines the ancient craft of fermentation &ndash; which has been used for millennia to brew beer and bake bread &ndash; with a modern feedstock (the scientific term for a starter liquid). &nbsp;Whereas most fermentation companies rely on sugar, Farmless uses a feedstock made from CO2, water, nitrogen and renewable energy &ndash; bypassing the need for agricultural land. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
