Research Scientist – Technology Development

<div><div><p><span style="font-size:13px;">We are looking for a skilled researcher to lead the delivery of key technology projects within the GEiGS team in a role that combines project and experiment planning with laboratory-based work and people management.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color:#000000;font-weight:bold;">Job Purpose </span></p><p><span style="font-size:13px;">The GEiGS® (genome-editing induced gene silencing) team develops and deploys the core technology of Tropic Biosciences. We develop disease-resistant plants and novel traits by using genome-editing tools to redirect RNA-silencing genes (e.g. miRNAs) to novel targets, including pests and pathogens. The team works at the interface between molecular biology, plant biology and bioinformatics.   </span></p><p><span style="font-size:13px;">We are looking for an experienced molecular biologist to join the GEiGS® team to lead the delivery of key technology projects. You will join a team of skilled professionals and add your own experience, preferably in the field of RNA biology, to facilitate delivery on GEiGS® projects. This role is ideally suited to someone with a proven track record of delivery of biotechnology projects.
