Together with 300 colleagues spread across Europe (40 nationalities and counting), we have big plans: we are building a Europe-wide network of 1,000 beautiful fast-charging stations where electric drivers can charge their cars with energy from the sun and wind. Your role

Fastned Belgium is growing; we have a beautiful office at the Martelaarslaan in Ghent. Due to our growth in Belgium, we are looking for an Office Manager to bring this lovely office to life!

Your role will be to:

  • Manage the Ghent office to ensure an organised, fun, and safe working environment;

  • Support the Country Director and other line managers with welcoming new joiners, from arranging new equipment, office tours and our (digital) working tools;

  • Be the point of contact for the landlord on any facilities and infrastructures needs;

  • Manage procurement for the Belgian office, ranging from daily lunches to office supplies and equipment;

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as invoicing and record keeping;

  • Organise and manage internal events and travel arrangements for people visiting the office;

  • Adding a creative touch to enhance office décor and contribute to a vibrant and inspiring workplace atmosphere.

Who we are looking for

In order to be successful in this role, you will have a knack for making the office a fun and welcoming place, with strong communication and people skills. If you're friendly, proactive, and love to bring a touch of creativity to your work, you'll fit right in. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. We need someone who can juggle tasks, think on their feet, and add a bit of sparkle to our daily office life. We’re also seeking someone with the following skills;

  • 3+ years of experience managing a small or medium-sized office or events;

  • Super-organised to maintain office supplies, manage budgets, and coordinate with various vendors and service providers;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, able to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively;

  • A friendly and approachable mindset, making the office a welcoming environment for all employees and visitors;

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a strong team player;

  • Proficiency in office software and tools, such as Google Workspace;

  • A passion for sustainability;

  • Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a nice to have.
