Are you an experienced Supply Chain planning professional seeking an exciting role in a complex and dynamic environment? Then we're looking for you!

We are now looking for a Manager of Supply Chain & Demand Planning for DeJong Verpakkin by Stora Enso.

As Manager of Supply & Demand Planning, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing production and ensuring maximum delivery reliability to our customers. You'll oversee the demand and supply flows related to short and medium-term planning (demand flows up to approximately 2 weeks ahead, supply flows up to approximately 6 weeks ahead). You'll be responsible for optimizing the capacity utilization of the facilities within our 2 factories, improving delivery reliability, and reducing waste through inefficient planning (thus contributing to cost optimization). Additionally, you'll be responsible for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring the mid- to long-term balance between demand and supply.

The Supply & Demand Planning department is part of the Supply Chain department, consisting of sub-departments such as Supply & Demand, Transportation, Logistics, and De Jong Box (box setup).

The Supply & Demand Planning department consists of 4 components:

  • Demand Planning, which deals with customer demand and the global production planning (up to approximately 2 weeks ahead).
  • Supply Planning, which translates demand into material requirements with a focus on paper (what is needed to achieve the planned production).
  • Inventory Management, which deals with production and inventory administration.
  • Production Planning, also known as Scheduling & Planning, which translates the demand plan into a detailed production schedule.
  • The activities within the Supply & Demand Planning department relate to both factories.

Furthermore, the following tasks are part of this role:

  • Participating in the Operations Management Team (OMT), discussing deviations, specificities, and reporting KPIs.
  • Developing control over the day-to-day planning cycles and annual/strategic planning.
  • Driving process and system improvements in the planning domain to support ambitious growth plans and enhance efficiency in planning processes.
  • Comfortably and effectively building and maintaining relationships with other functions such as Sales, Production, and Finance, and navigating across different hierarchical levels within the organization.
  • Leading a large team of planning professionals, challenging them to continuously improve their own work domain, fostering personal/team development, and promoting collaboration with other functions.

What we are looking for:

  • HBO or WO level of education and thinking;
  • A completed degree preferably in Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to efficiently convey complex ideas to various stakeholders;
  • Ability to design, improve, and document operational processes;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.

What we offer you:

  • A full-time position at a leading company;
  • A fixed-term contract with the possibility of a permanent position;
  • A competitive salary with a pension plan and a travel allowance;
  • Opportunities for internal and external training;
  • A challenging job with room for further development and ample opportunities for career advancement;
  • We welcome foreign employees and offer opportunities regarding housing and transportation.
