Sr. Engineer, Software Development (Java)

General and deep experience with Core Java concepts, OOP and J2EE technologies are a must. Experience with spring/spring boot, hibernate, multi-threading, design patterns and SQL is a beneficial. Understanding in technology standards & concepts such as webservices (SOAP, REST, JSON), OAuth, Networking, SSL & digital certificate, synchronous/asynchronous messaging, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build extremely reliable, scalable and high performing web applications for our clients.

• (S)he will also review and understand business requirements ensuring that development tasks are completed within the timeline provided and that issues are fully tested with minimal defects.

• Collaborate with other developers to ensure that client needs are met at all times.

• Work in a rapid and agile development process.

• Implement good development and testing standards to ensure quality of deliverables.

Experience : 6-8 Years

Must Have

• 6 to 8 years of experience in developing web applications primarily in J2EE environment with development experience in J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, WebLogic\Web Sphere.

• Development of interfaces using SOAP/REST Web Services.

• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, GWT, Spring MVC)

• Experience in the Spring Framework

• Excellent understanding of OOPS concepts and JAVA programing language.

• Programming experience in relational platforms like MySQL, Oracle.

• Understanding of latest technologies and tools in the Java/JEE space.

• Strong technical knowledge of either J2EE application servers, databases

• Good hands-on technical skills, especially Linux Shell experience (e.g., curl, grep), testing tools (e.g. SoapUI, Postman), SQL, JIRA, Confluence

• Hands on experience using Eclipse/IntelliJ idea, SVN and GIT

• Sound analytical skills.

• Experience with debugging and strict code reviews

• Experience in a wide range of computer operating systems and software with emphasis on Installation, troubleshooting, upgrading, integration and client/server operations is desired

• Experience working with APIs

• Good communication skills. Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong personal organization skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements

Preferred

• Exposure on GCP  & LINUX, Oracle etc.

• If worked across teams (specifically on IoT & smart machines)

• Experience with AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, XHTML, HTML, CSS, XML would be add on.

• Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, XML.

• Experience in any frontend framework would be add on.

• Must have work experience in developing high available, fault tolerant server application.
