Senior Software Engineer, Full-Stack

The role 

Salary: $170,000 to $200,000 depending on experience and location 

As a Senior full-stack software engineer, you will be instrumental in bringing our transformative products to life – designing, developing, testing, and implementing enhancements to our existing web and API application, Decoder, as well as driving the building and launch our next web product, Planner.

Core competencies 

• Expertise delivering usable and performant web development using Next.js, React, Node.js, Typescript and/or JavaScript. 

• Experience designing and building REST API and back-end services (Golang a plus). 

• Experience designing, building and optimizing non-relational databases such as MongoDB and relational databases such as Postgres. 

• Agile development practices using applications such as Asana, sculpting work into deliverable iterations, maintaining and educating coding standards. 

• Planning, provisioning, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure. 

• Excellence in technical communications with peers, remote teams, customers. Verbal and written; documenting technical specifications including customer-facing documentation. 

• Demonstrable history of learning new skills and technologies, and success apply them appropriately to real world solutions. 

Qualifications 

• 7+ years progressive end-to-end, “full stack” experience. 

• Demonstrated track record of leading successful small teams to ship quality code productively. 

• Able to thrive with autonomy and roll up your sleeves: we are a small team in a fast-paced environment where you will be required to own and deliver solutions to complex problems.
