⚡️Your role

As UX Manager, you will be responsible for leading the UX team that creates experiences that raise the bar and shape the future of electric vehicle charging. Your work ensures that our products are user-centric and provide extra joyful experiences at every touchpoint. With your team, your goal is to create experiences that attract and make customers love charging at Fastned, from how we embed brand, build operational excellence, strengthen our relationships, to fostering storytelling and the delivery of outcomes.
The UX Manager leads for the UX team (Product Design and User Research). This role is part of the Product & Engineering Leadership, and reports directly to the Product & Engineering Director.

⚡️Your overall responsibilities include

  • Developing and implementing UX vision and strategy that aligns with the Fastned mission, our organization, the product vision and goals.

  • Oversee the design process throughout the product development lifecycle, from discovery phase to solution and beyond delivery. Applying various design thinking methods to ensure a high-quality and consistent user experience.

  • Oversee qualitative and quantitative research study design and execution, and to ensure the use of data-driven insights to influence product direction.

  • Optimize UXR and UXD processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, implementing best practices, tools and staying up to date with industry trends.

  • Lead, manage, coach, recruit and inspire a multidisciplinary team of UX professionals, ranging from user research to product design expertise.

  • Contribute directly! Based on your background in UXD/UXR, and considering the size of the team we expect there will be opportunities to keep creativity going & contribute directly.

  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, and expertise such as Software Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Brand and other Commercial teams.

  • Communicate UX research and design insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Advocate for the user-centric design principles and practices throughout the product development lifecycle and leverage your super power for embedding them within the Fastned organisation.

  • You have a minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in UX or a related field, with at least 2 years proven experience in a management or leadership position.
  • You are a thought leader in UX, research and design practice, and the use of various research and design systems, tools and methods, with a keen eye for quality and user experience.
  • You have demonstrated success in leading large-scale research and design in an Agile setting.
  • You bring strong hands-on research and design expertise, technical proficiency and experience with tools such as Figma, Condens, or similar.
  • You are analytical, a problem-solver, who brings user-centric and critical thinking
  • You bring excellent communication and presentation skills
  • You have a strong affinity with the energy transition and the Fastned mission
