This role partners closely with executive and senior leadership, HR leaders, and other key stakeholders to develop initiatives that align with NREL’s mission and business objectives, driving employee engagement, talent retention, and organizational agility.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design and implement a learning and organizational development (L&amp;OD) strategy aligned with business goals.</li><li>Oversee leadership development, employee upskilling, and organizational effectiveness initiatives, including team effectiveness, culture transformation, and succession planning.</li><li>Provide data-driven recommendations to executive leadership and HR Business Partners to address challenges and drive performance.</li><li>Build and scale programs for onboarding, leadership development, and professional growth using modern learning methodologies.</li><li>Facilitate leadership training workshops to equip managers with tools for coaching and team performance.</li><li>Utilize organizational and skill gap assessments and feedback to create targeted development initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with the Office of Change Management to execute change strategies that ensure organizational readiness.</li><li>Lead and mentor the L&amp;OD team, fostering a high-performing, growth-oriented culture.</li><li>Establish KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of L&amp;OD programs, and provide budget oversight.</li><li>Report outcomes and insights to senior leadership, leveraging data to refine and improve initiatives.</li></ul>.Basic QualificationsPrevious management and budget adherence experience may be required. Degree in appropriate field is required. Demonstrated knowledge of legal and ethical management issues and practices. In-depth knowledge of the issues and best practices in the applicable field of expertise. Generally viewed as subject matter expert for group or work units. Excellent organization, project management, budgeting, interpersonal and communication skills. Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to make appropriate decisions regarding work activities and projects.
