Participate in development of controls standards and specificationsby feeding back lessons-learned and gaps from each project to ensurethat future projects will run smoother. Continuously improve theproduction lines by reducing cycle time, reducing downtime, andimproving quality. Maintain, modify, and properly version controlequipment programs, configuration files, and documentation as changesare implemented. This includes but is not limited to hardware,electrical, safety, pneumatic, network, PLC, HMI, Robot, SCADA, and MES.Add or remove network devices from the equipment as needed, updatingnetwork switch configurations as needed. Troubleshoot, improve, and addfeatures to PLCs using Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text with anemphasis on code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainableand reusable. Troubleshoot, improve, and add features to HMIs to makethem more user-friendly, intuitive, and suitable for operating andtroubleshooting equipment. Implement and make modifications to MES logicfor production and performance management in the PLCs and HMIs. Ensureproper implementation of and modifications to (ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHAcompliant) control reliable safety systems for safeguarding robots,gantries, conveyors, and other high volume manufacturing equipment.\\RQMTS: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering,Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely relatedfield and 2 years of experience in any occupation involving controlsengineering or related. Experience must include integrating andcommissioning high volume manufacturing equipment; participating insafety design reviews, validating equipment safeties during buy-off, andsafety standards ANSI/RIA 15.06; writing PLC projects for high-volumemanufacturing equipment using Rockwell Control Logix PLCs, FactorytalkView, and Ignition; developing and modifying electrical schematics withEPLAN and/or AutoCAD Electrical; programming and troubleshootingindustrial 6-axis robots Fanuc, ABB, and Kawasaki; troubleshooting fieldbus network Ethernet/IP and EtherCAT; and Electrical Standards NFPA79.Salary Range: \$99,000-\$131,000/yr.
