About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Implementation Engineer to join our Professional Services team. The ideal candidate is technical, proactive, methodical, detail-oriented, and process-oriented, while battle tested doing customer implementations for cloud-based SaaS products/applications. The Implementation Engineer is responsible for analyzing customer implementation requirements  to identify the tasks needed to implement them, planning the deliverables with milestones, and configuring the Pulosra platform to deliver the customer implementations. This person must  be a technical, hands-on engineer, who can configure the Pulsora platform using the product capabilities and also using  backend configurations.

  • Analyze customer implementation  requirements to come up with the detailed tasks and estimate the efforts.

  • Configure the Polsora platform using product UI.

  • Configure the Polsora platform  using backend configurations including database changes, API-based configurations, etc.

  • Integrate the Pulsora platform with customers’ systems, e.g. ERP, HR, procurement, etc. Test the integrations.

  • Integrate and test the Pulsora platform with customers’ SSO providers, e.g. Active Directory, Okta, etc. 

  • Test the Polsora platform  to ensure the customer requirements are implemented.

  • Demo the configured Pulsora platform to show it meets customer requirements.

  • Collaborate cross functionally with business engagement, product, engineering, and other teams, including an offshore team in India daily.

About you

  • 5+ years of hands-on customer implementation experience on SaaS applications including configuring a SaaS product based on customer requirements.

  • Experience working with a global team, including the ability and willingness  to work  outside of regular business hours with Pulsora’s offshore team in India.

  • 5+ years hands-on technical experience in the following areas:

    • Database/SQL: Retrieve data from RDBMS (e.g. Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)  and document databases (e.g. Couchbase, Postgres, Elasticsearch, etc.), insert, update, delete  data in the database.

    • Use Postman to call APIs

    • Write utilities and scripts using Python/Java

    • Experience with SSO integrations with Active Directory, Okta are a plus

    • Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

    • Integration data formats, e.g. JSON, XML, CSV, etc.

    • Troubleshoot problems by using the browser developer tools, by accessing log files, etc.

    • Apache Airflow, petl, Bonobo, Bubbles, etc. and experience configuring ETL processes are a  plus

    • Apache Superset, Tableau, or Power BI, etc. and experience configuring analytics dashboards are a plus

  • Able to provide after hours, on-call, and escalation support for Pulsora customers.

  • You are fluent in English and have strong verbal and written  communication skills.

  • A self-starter who takes ownership of opportunities and  works well independently, manages multiple simultaneous projects, and deals well with ambiguity and last-minute changes.

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, meeting specific deadlines utilizing strong organizational skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
