In service of this purpose, we are building a foundation of equity and inclusivity across our business, including our operations, our fellowship, our partnerships, and our brand.</span></p></div><p><strong>Description</strong></p><p>Our Anywhere team is looking for a new Fellowship Manager to manage our existing Anywhere Activate community (virtual with a trip component every quarter for in-person programing). At Activate, Fellowship Managers are responsible for the operational and program management of our community hubs - whether in Berkeley, Cambridge, New York, Houston or for our virtual Anywhere community. In this role, you will oversee customization and<em> </em>execution of key fellowship elements including fellow selection, educational programming, and program operations and evaluation. This role is a hugely exciting opportunity to work closely with deep-tech science entrepreneurs throughout their Activate fellowship journey as they work to address climate change and other global challenges.</p><p>The Fellowship Manager will report to the Managing Director of Activate Anywhere, and work closely with the Chief Fellowship Officer, Head of Fellowship Program Optimization, and Fellowship Managers across our 5 communities, and a growing fellowship team.</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Build a strong, tight knit community and experience among the Anywhere fellows and continually engage alumni</li><li>Oversee the Anywhere fellow selection process </li><li>Responsible for planning and execution of fellow onboarding, education, and exit</li><li>Manage fellowship operations, including program calendar, key ongoing meetings, data systems we have in place, and workflows, and more for the Anywhere team</li><li>Facilitate and lead dynamic, interactive sessions between the fellows and the broader community to grow our fellowship community and develop our fellows</li><li>Direct Activate Anywhere fellows to internal and external resources as needed</li><li>Support the continuous evaluation of the fellowship by collecting and analyzing data on the performance of the fellowship site, the fellows, and the fellows’ companies</li><li>Work with the Anywhere Managing Director and Fellowship Associate to cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment for the fellows  </li></ul><p><strong>Ideal Candidate</strong></p><ul><li>Passion and experience in building community in a virtual environment</li><li>Experience in encouraging and facilitating personal connections, collaborations, and mutual support among members of the community</li><li>Empathy and a passion for helping others</li><li>Has a track record of successful program management in a dynamic and evolving work environment</li><li>Has exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship skills, and the ability to work productively with varied personalities</li><li>Has a keen ability to collect, process, organize, and communicate complex information in order to improve engagement and experience of the community</li><li>Pays attention to detail and enjoys analyzing data for programmatic decision making</li><li>Is able to quickly and seamlessly transition from working collaboratively as a member of a team to self-motivated individual contribution</li><li>Has experience as a manager or desire to grow their managerial skillset</li><li>Understands that innovation starts with people, not ideas</li><li>Believes in the power of science innovation to combat climate change and create a sustainable, resilient, equitable economy</li><li>Mission oriented, passionate about solving global challenges and is relentless in clearing hurdles for our Fellows</li><li>Agnostic location (preference for EST or CT time zones)  committed to travel 4 to 6 times a year</li><li>Background in science is a nice to have</li></ul><p><strong>About the Role </strong></p><p>This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $95,000-105,000 with a generous benefits package that includes professional development, $2,000 in annual wellness funds, unlimited paid time off, healthcare premiums covered for employees and dependents at 90%, and the opportunity to join a retirement plan with a 3% match beginning after 3 months at Activate. </p><p><strong>Values</strong></p><p>Activate’s culture is built around the following values:</p><ul><li>We put people first through mutual support, respect, and continuous improvement</li><li>We live in trust, acting with authenticity, integrity, and a presumption of good intention</li><li>We appreciate experimentation, using data to improve, and accepting that failure and discomfort are necessary for growth</li><li>We create value through connection and building community</li><li>We are guided by intention and are purpose-driven to improve society</li></ul><div><p><strong>Encouraging Applications from All Backgrounds </strong></p><p><span style="font-weight:400;">We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
