Revenue Operations Manager

Overview of Role

ZwitterCo is seeking an energetic, versatile Revenue Operations Manager who will play a crucial role in the overall success of the sales organization by driving strategic alignment across all revenue-driving functions. They will analyze business data to drive optimization of sales operations, guiding strategic decisions at every stage of the customer sales cycle, from prospect engagement to expansion. The Revenue Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and executing revenue operations strategies, fostering growth and operational efficiency by enhancing billing operations, managing billing processes, and driving revenue growth initiatives. They will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, finance, and other cross-functional teams to identify trends, communicate process changes, and implement improvements, ensuring uninhibited growth and an exceptional customer experience.

Candidates must have experience in technology forward companies such as DNA or bioprocessing as well as a strong understanding of the Industrial Sales Process (long sales cycle and a lot of nurturing) to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of the Revenue Operations function.
  • Oversee the strategic analysis of critical sales KPI’s, driving high-level decisions on the customer journey and revenue growth.
  • Develop a data-driven forecasting model based upon CRM opportunity data to achieve monthly revenue forecasting.
  • Analyze sales and marketing data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Empower the sales and marketing team with fully visible and accurate sales lifecycle data, with a focus on pipeline and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to streamline end-to-end lead to cash processes.
  • Manage and optimize the utilization of CRM and other revenue-related technologies to ensure accurate tracking of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.
  • Assist in sales forecasting and pipeline management to ensure accuracy and identify trends to help optimize pipeline management, conversion, and velocity.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance overall revenue performance, including pricing strategy, deal structures, and contract management.
  • Oversee the revenue collection process, address any issues with the current process, and implement new processes to improve efficiency.
  • Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to sales and marketing teams to ensure operational best practices are being followed and ensuring teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge for effective execution to meet or exceed revenue targets. Critical Success Factors:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot), sales enablement tools and other relevant sales technologies.
  • Proven track record of establishing efficient sales processes that enable data capture and increase desired business outcomes (leveraging both standard objectives like opportunities, activities, etc., and creating custom objectives to streamline workflows)
  • Intimate knowledge of sales forecasting, pipeline analysis, quota setting, outbound prospecting, pricing, RFPs, proposals, and reporting/ analytics.
  • A collaborative and cross-functional mindset, capable of working seamlessly with various teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Experience owning the end-to-end revenue and billing operations process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technology forward companies (DNA and bioprocessing)
  • Solid understanding of the Industrial Sales Cycle - long sales cycles and the need to nurture campaigns
  • A university degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of proven experience in a relevant role within sales operations or revenue operations.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Location, Travel and Compensation

This position is based in Woburn, MA, however, remote work is an option for non-local candidates.

This position may require minimal travel, up to 10%.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and will include equity and benefits.
