Senior Electrical Engineer

ACCIONA Energia, Australia’s leading renewable energy owner-operator, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering clean energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage, through all project phases—from development to construction and operation. Using your technical expertise, you will lead and manage the electrical design and delivery of renewable energy projects, from assessing new opportunities to overseeing the design and commissioning of high-voltage substations and electrical systems, directly contributing to Australia's renewable energy transition.

• Development Phase: Assess and develop new project opportunities, analyse grid connections, and provide support for construction planning.
• Delivery and Construction Phase: Manage the delivery of primary electrical systems, review technical documents by consultants, prepare specifications & scopes of work, and provide construction support.
• Operations Phase: Provide technical advice, design documents for upgrades, and support system testing and commissioning.
• General: Act as point of contact for the electrical team, maintain standards, support overseas projects, and solve complex technical problems.

You’re a self-driven, solutions-oriented professional with a passion for renewable energy. You have a proven track record of leading electrical engineering design and management in utility-scale projects.

Other requirements:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Extensive experience in consulting or design management roles.
• Background in power generation, mining or a related industry.  
• Strong technical report and scope writing skills, with experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
• Commercial acumen and a focus on delivering successful project outcomes.
