Job Description
Last Energy seeks a Field Operations Specialist to manage and coordinate large-scale prototyping and display events. This role involves detailed planning, logistics management, and on-site execution of demonstrations. The ideal candidate will exhibit adaptability, attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and good judgment.
Areas of responsibility include:
Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop detailed operational plans for prototypes and demonstrations
- Coordinate with engineering, commercial, and product teams to align project objectives and timelines
- Ensure all necessary resources and personnel are allocated for the project
Logistics Management
- Oversee the transportation of prototypes to demonstration sites or testing facilities
- Manage the setup and breakdown of demonstration environments
- Handle logistics challenges, such as shipping large components or setting up in remote locations
- Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure the best rates for materials and logistics services
- Manage any necessary compliance, such as permits or approvals required for demonstrations
On-Site Management
- Oversee the on-site execution of demonstrations to ensure they go as planned
- Solve problems that may arise during demonstrations, such as equipment malfunctions or delays
- Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved on the ground
Communication and Reporting
- Maintain clear and continuous communication between all parties involved, including internal teams and external partners or clients
- Prepare and present reports on the status of the project, outcomes of the demonstrations, and any issues encountered
- Gather feedback from demonstrations to inform future prototypes and project phases
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5-15 years of experience in events management, logistics, or related roles
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities across a range of audiences
- Knowledge of logistics market and sourcing
- Willing to roll up sleeves, "no task is too small" attitude
