About the Job
- Your mission at Climeworks is to own safety, risk assessment and regulatory compliance of chemicals (polymers, sorbents) and related products developed by Climeworks R&D and industrialization teams. This includes overseeing safety data sheets, REACH/TSCA compliance, COSHH, Dangerous Goods, and adherence to other relevant chemical regulations.
- You are responsible for ensuring all chemical products comply with relevant local and international regulations.
- You conduct regular reviews and updates of SDS and ensure that REACH registrations and submissions are accurate and timely.
- You ensure all products are safe for development and use and perform risk assessments for products during development and usage processes.
- You collect and maintain all data for products related to regulatory compliance and gather data from R&D, quality, and industrialization teams while maintaining a regulatory database for both internal and external use.
- You establish and implement lean processes from R&D through to certification and identify opportunities to eliminate compliance requirements where risks are acceptable.
- You hold a bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as chemical engineering or chemistry.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in industrial settings.
- You gathered practical experience with SDS, REACH, TSCA, COSHH, and DGSA.
- You gained experience in R&D and the industrialization of chemicals.
- You demonstrate analytical thinking and quality management skills.
- You possess a pragmatic approach to risk assessment and possess excellent communication skills.
- You are an excellent collaborator and decision-maker with the ability to operate with incomplete information.
- You are business fluent in English.
- You are willing to travel 20% of the time to global production sites, locations, and vendors.
