Join us to lead high voltage equipment and MV lines at Macintyre substations! Direct, coordinate, and control operations to maximise efficiency, meet business goals, and ensure safety.

This role is a permanent role within the MacIntyre Wind Farm O&M team.

The MacIntyre Wind Farm is located approximately 50 kms south-west of Warwick and 10 kms south of Karara in Queensland. With a capacity of 923.4 MW (162 x 5.7 MW turbines, and investment of AU$1.96 billion, this project highlights how ACCIONA Energia's ‘build, own and operate’ model sets us apart as a developer that works closely with landowners, neighbours, and the community to deliver integrated solutions to the energy crisis.

ACCIONA Energía aims to finalise the MacIntyre Wind Farm in 2025 with an operations office currently being constructed for the official inauguration of the wind farm and operations to commence in 2025.

Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and policies set by Acciona Energy.
  • Oversee adherence to General Safety Standards and QSE requirements by collaborating companies.
  • Direct and coordinate high voltage activities for equipment operation.
  • Manage maintenance activities for substations, HV/MV lines, and related equipment.
  • Contribute to contingency planning and inventory management for equipment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and technicians to optimise equipment performance and lifespan.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Hold appropriate trade certificate in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
  • Preferably possess or be eligible for a QLD "A Grade" Electrical License.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Possess a valid manual vehicle driver's license.
  • Ability to comply with ACCIONA Energía Safety Management System and travel to various Wind Farms across Australia.
