Job Description:

Overview:

Alantra is seeking to hire an Experienced Investment Banking Analyst to help support its M&A advisory business within our Cloud Technology practice.  The position is located in-person in New York, NY.  The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of relevant experience in the field and be able to meaningfully contribute to the group on Day 1 with little hands-on training.  The Analyst will have the opportunity to work directly with Managing Directors.  The environment at Alantra is both collegial and entrepreneurial.  Teamwork is essential to the firm’s success.  At the same time, creativity and new ideas are welcomed.  The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing, and possess a strong background in finance and accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry research and perform individual company analysis
  • Develop financial analysis and models
  • Support creation of client proposals and presentations
  • Manage data room and coordinate due diligence process
  • Recruit, supervise, and develop Interns
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • 12 months of relevant prior experience required, preferably in Services/Technology
  • Bachelor’s degree required; business, economics, finance/accounting majors preferred
  • Knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices is essential
  • Solid finance/accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills
  • Team player mentality combined with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organization skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills; Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
  • FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses are required, or to be obtained within the first six months of employment

Alantra's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is a base compensation band of $80,000 (Min) - $90,000 (Max). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus in addition to the base salary. Actual starting pay at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on several factors, including, but not limited to, candidate experience, market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation, and budgetary constraints.
