Job Description:

Overview

Alantra is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Analyst to help support its M&A and capital raising advisory business in the Consumer and Industrials sectors. The role is onsite in either our Boston or New York City offices. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of relevant experience with the ability to immediately and meaningfully impact the team, while also engaging thoughtfully with Alantra's training and onboarding practices. Analysts consistently work directly with Alantra’s U.S. Managing Directors, and over time high performers will have long-term opportunities to rotate through our other U.S. and overseas offices, if desired.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct industry research and perform individual company analysis.

  • Develop financial analysis and models.

  • Support creation of client proposals and presentations.

Requirements:

Qualifications / Requirements

  • At least 1 year of investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, or other similar experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record required; business, economics, finance/accounting majors preferred.

  • Knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices is essential.

  • Solid finance/accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Team player mentality combined with the ability to work independently.

  • Strong organization skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills; Expert in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses are required, or to be obtained within the first six months of employment.

Base compensation band: $80,000 (Min) - $90,000 (Max). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus in addition to the base salary. Actual starting pay may be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation, candidate experience, and budgetary constraints.
