Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.    

Mission Statement:

As an ERP Data Analyst & SharePoint Developer you will be part of Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG) and PGTR QO team. Key activities will include development and administration of the PGTR ERP Power BI workspace, providing further detailed ad hoc analytics , leveraging Power BI, Excel & PowerPoint and the development of the BU's ERP reporting and Analytics Teams space and much more. You will also be developing SharePoint sites and pages and performing content management.                                                                                                                                                  

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis solutions using Power BI.

  • Extract, clean, and transform data from ERP systems (SAP) to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Development of tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.

  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business operations, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.

  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in ERP systems, data analysis, and Power BI development.

  • Improving the quality of reports by assessing and validating the data.

  • Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of data quality and completeness.

  • Developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports to the workspace as per the business requirements.

  • Developing and maintaining the SharePoint sites, lists, views and managing access related queries.

  • Creating forms & webparts and working on tasks using JavaScript & jQuery.

  • Supporting the stakeholders by providing training and explaining the usage of the SharePoint sites.

  • Creating workflows for the applications that has repeatable business requirements.

  • Capable of managing technical issues, tasks, and timelines.

  • Creating and maintaining documents for data sources, transformations, and visualization best practices.

  • Development & maintenance of the BU QO’s Reporting & Analytics Teams Space / Sharepoint

  • Helps maintaining an up-to-date online documents library that includes general information & Instructions for the reporting and usage of the BI tool.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in B.E/B. Tech Computer science/Information Technology.

  • Proven experience working with ERP systems (SAP) and extracting data for analysis.

  • Proficiency in Power BI and other data visualization tools, with demonstrated experience creating complex reports and dashboards.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and extraction.

  • Strong capabilities of DAX queries / DAX functions / Power Query Editor.

  • Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.

  • Familiar with Row Level Security (RLS).

  • Basic knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, SSAS, Visual Studio, Power Apps etc.

  • Proficient in SharePoint UI.

  • Basics in Python or R Language & Statistics.

  • Basic knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript & jQuery.

  • Proficient in using Power Automate & SharePoint designer.

  • Extended MS Office knowledge & skills, (Excel, PowerPoint, Power App, Power BI etc.)

  • Knowledge of HE / PGTR organizational structure & operational KPIs preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Proficiency in English language.
