Your work will directly impact the success of our space missions and enable the deployment of critical components in orbit. MissionDcubed is accelerating space exploration missions with cost effective and durable space hardware, solutions and subsystems.Our groundbreaking projects pushing the boundaries of technology and advancing space exploration have huge implications for both the company and the industry as a whole. Tasks<ul><li style="font-family:Arial , Helvetica , sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Daily, you will be solving problems – most likely ones that no one has run into before and  support the In-Space Manufacturing (ISM) team with the development of custom Mechanical Systems &amp; Hardware</li><li style="font-family:Arial , Helvetica , sans-serif;font-size:14px;">Design mechanical breadboards and GSEs</li><li>Produce engineering drawings and coordinate production of mechanical parts with external suppliers</li><li>Manufacture mechanical parts in-house (e.g. CNC milling of metal parts, FDM and SLS printing of polymers)</li><li>Assemble prototypes and flight hardware</li><li>Perform testing activities from component to system level</li><li>Participate in qualification campaigns and acceptance testing of flight hardware</li><li>Support customer during final integration of our payloads</li><li>Produce technical documentation and participate in reviews with external stakeholders</li></ul>Additionally, you will collaborate with a highly skilled team in a dynamic and innovative work environment, fostering both personal and professional growth. Here is what you bring to the table Candidate Background:<ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering </li><li>2 + years experience in working with space hardware  </li><li>Appreciation for craftsmanship and creativity in industrial/mechanical applications    </li><li>Experience with milling and CNC machining   </li><li>Experienced with mechanical design and GD&amp;T (Geometric | Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing) </li><li>Demonstrated experience in working in a dynamic and rapidly-paced environment</li><li><div>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment </div></li><li>Fluent in English</li><li><div>Eligible to work in Germany</div></li></ul> Nice to have requirements: <ul><li>Familiarity with (new) spatial environment (2+ years) </li><li>You're likely someone who enjoys designing things on your own time, including 3D printing, welding, grinding, and machining</li><li>Knowledge of structural analysis tools (FEM)</li><li>Experienced with mechanisms for high-precision structures (RF or Optical Payloads)</li></ul> Interested?
