As an electrical team leader, you will work in R&amp;D organization, developing Electrical Engineers for Hitachi Energy needs.<br>Our team is a part of Hitachi Technology and Solutions Development in Beijing, China, and is responsible for the development of semiconductor based HVDC and Static Var Compensation applications. Our department has sixteen employees, focusing mainly on mechanical design, and works in close collaboration with the global HVDC organization. We are looking for engineers and team leader who bring fresh and innovative ideas to make the power grid greener and smarter, as we continue to push the technology forward.</p><p><br><b>Your responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>In this role you will lead a team of approximate 5 skilled electrical engineers for developing the converter valves, from concept phase to detailed design and introduction into production in our factories.</li><li>You will manage team operations and ensure team deliverables meet expectations on quality and technical performance set by the business.</li><li>You will engage regularly with key stakeholders to ensure priorities and resource planning for development work are in line with the business strategy.</li><li>You will support competence development of team members in relevant technical areas.</li><li>You will initiate and drive continuous improvement activities and improve operational performance of the department in collaboration with your colleagues.</li><li>Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Your background:</b></p><ul><li>You hold bachelors/master’s degree in electrical engineering with technical experience in power industry.</li><li>Experience in people management as direct supervisor, project manager or other management activity.</li><li>Solid understanding of product development work within R&amp;D organization.</li><li>Proven analytic skills, combined with broad technical interest and sound quality thinking.</li><li>Electromechanical design experience from electric power industry or design of high voltage products is valuable.</li><li>Previous experience in semiconductors and or power electronics are added value.</li><li>As you will be part of a company that operates on the global arena, you must be proficient in English. </li></ul>
