Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer

Position

As a Platform Engineer at Bridger Photonics, your work will accelerate the delivery of software applications and the pace at which they produce value to the business. By offering self-service features and automating infrastructure operations, this position’s aim is to meaningfully improve developer experience and productivity.

 

As an engineer on our team, you will:

• Create a developer platform that empowers engineers to deliver reliable, scalable and observable code.
• Design and build developer platform on cloud infrastructure to support our software developers. Requirements of this platform may include: automating CI/CD,Unit testing and integration testing, code scanning, containerization and automation, logging and monitoring, infrastructure deployment.
• Lead and teach by example, fostering a collaborative environment with interfacing teams that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Collaborate with a variety of skilled engineers to understand platform requirements and how to integrate cloud solutions effectively.
• Take ownership of projects throughout their full lifecycle.
• Be part of an engineering team that's passionate about building great software and learning as much as we can along the way.

 

About You

• You have 5+ years industry experience working in infrastructure, developer productivity, or an operations-focused role, such as Platform engineer, DevOps engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with various technical teams.
• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure design and management, particularly within AWS environments.
• Strong background in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience working with infrastructure automation using technologies such as Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation.
• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging and alerting tools.
• Building well-tested, robust, integrated systems is in your DNA.
• You enable teams of applications engineers to focus on application engineering.
