This role requires the ability to prepare complete and accurate estimates with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with our Estimating team.<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Attend pre-bid, scope review, and client meetings as needed.</li><li>Prepare detailed and accurate proposals using estimating software (Accubid preferred).</li><li>Develop a clear approach plan and timeline for each estimate.</li><li>Review, interpret, and apply project specifications in the preparation of estimates.</li><li>Accurately interpret drawings, documents, and electrical symbols (fire alarm, lighting, controls, receptacles, etc.).</li><li>Perform precise takeoffs using drawing scales and electronic scale devices.</li><li>Collaborate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and customers.</li><li>Identify discrepancies, errors, and value engineering opportunities.</li><li>Contribute to the training and development of junior estimators.</li><li>Support a strong, team-oriented work environment.</li></ul><h3>Basic Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator (commercial/industrial focus).</li><li>Experience with projects ranging from $100K–$100M.</li><li>Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems; healthcare and mission critical experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to identify design issues and communicate RFIs effectively.</li><li>Skilled at preparing estimates at all design stages.</li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and methods.</li><li>Proven ability to perform accurate, well-documented takeoffs.</li></ul><h3>What We Offer</h3><ul><li>Work with one of the nation’s leading electrical contractors.</li><li>Exposure to large-scale, high-profile projects.</li><li>Annual performance reviews.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package:<ul><li>Medical, dental, vision and life insurance</li><li>401(k) retirement plan with company contribution</li><li>Paid holidays and paid time off</li></ul></li></ul>Join Us: At Sargent Electric, we are proud of our history and excited about our future.
