About the Role
The Toolmaker is responsible to make, maintain and repair dies & jigs used within the manufacturing process at Vinidex. Regular tasks include using a range of Toolroom processes, tools and machines in a safe manner to produce required parts, determining sizes & fit, measuring and marking out of metal stock or castings, machining internal shapes, designing tools and precision equipment and ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner that best supports Vinidex operational requirements, policies and procedures.
You will work Monday - Friday from 6:00am until 2:30pm.
Responsibilities include:
Comply with WHS instructions and follow the processes and practices of the workplace
Report all potential hazards, incidents, near misses and injuries using our systems
Liaise with internal departments to understand requirements for tooling, jigs or fixtures
Follow Toolroom Maintenance Strategy for equipment, tools & dies
Attend breakdowns
Record times/Parts used/Work History
Create Follow up Work Orders for additional work
Complete Maintenance Inspection & Service Sheets
Record key equipment data
Ensure urgent issues are communicated to the Toolroom Supervisor
Accurately record the usage of all parts
Identify details of any required parts

About You
Toolroom trade qualified with a mechanical aptitude capable of working within a team environment.
Positive attitude towards continuous improvement and a strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
EWP/FLT License
TIG/Arc Welding
Proven experience diagnosing hydraulic problems
Experience using TIG software
Competent CNC machine programming
