<p><b>Marine Environmental Consultants <span style="display:inline;text-decoration:inherit;">(Perth/Sydney/Brisbane/Melbourne)</span></b></p><p></p><p>As part of the continued growth of our services in the energy and resources sectors, ERM has an exciting opportunity for experienced mid-level and senior <b>Marine Environmental Consultants</b> to our team in Perth and assist in the delivery of our portfolio of projects to our key clients. The opportunity is also open to Consultants based in Sydney/Brisbane or Melbourne.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for professional Consultants looking to advance their career with a global environmental leader.</p><p></p><p><b>About the opportunity:</b></p><ul><li><p>In this fast paced and dynamic role you will support a wide range of projects with a focus on environmental impact assessments in marine and coastal environments.</p></li><li><p>Support the delivery of large-scale capital development projects, including for oil and gas (with a growing portfolio of <span><span style="display:inline;text-decoration:inherit;">decommissioning-related</span></span> work), renewables, mining and infrastructure sector clients.</p></li><li><p>Be a part of multidisciplinary project teams and network with ERM's global marine science technical community to share resources and best practice approaches across the industry.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Role Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Undertake assessments to evaluate and mitigate potential impacts on the marine environment from capital development projects</p></li><li><p>Utilise your knowledge of Commonwealth, State and Local Government environmental regulatory requirements</p></li><li><p>Develop strong relationships and communicate clearly with peers, colleagues, clients and sub-contractors within and outside the Australian-New Zealand Business Unit</p></li><li><p>Deliver high quality reporting to meet the needs of our clients and regulatory requirements</p></li><li><p>Assist in identifying, securing and managing new opportunities</p></li><li><p>Support the development of our junior team members through coaching and mentoring</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>If you have the following, we want to hear from you:</b></p><ul><li><p>Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (marine science, environmental science, environmental management)</p></li><li><p>Relevant post graduate qualifications such as Honours, Masters or PhD would be an advantage</p></li><li><p>3+ (mid-level) or 6+ (senior) years of experience in a similar role</p></li><li><p>Previous experience in environmental consultancy, environmental regulation or industry is an advantage</p></li><li><p>Strong interest in marine and coastal ecosystems, potential threats, coastal management issues, and strategies for protection and conservation is essential</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated understanding of and experience with Australian environmental approvals processes</p></li><li><p>Technical competence in undertaking marine assessments to support environmental approvals</p></li><li><p>Critical thinker skills – i.e. able to synthesize large amounts of data into meaningful outcomes</p></li><li><p>Excellent report writing, data collation and <span><span style="display:inline;text-decoration:inherit;">management/presentation</span></span> skills</p></li><li><p>Motivated to proactively contribute to a team environment, share knowledge, skills and ideas</p></li><li><p>Demonstrable project management experience is an advantage</p></li><li><p>Authorisation to work in Australia</p></li></ul><p></p><p>If this sounds like you, and you're looking to join a fun and vibrant team where you can add real value and make a difference, then we want to hear from you.
