ACCIONA Agua is seeking a skilled and experienced Planner to develop project planning and monitoring systems, generating relevant information to assess the progress of projects in terms of time and cost.
This role can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide cities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage Programmes: Implement relevant program systems to monitor project progress.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on costing schedules to identify potential delays or disputes.
- Cost Scheduling: Develop cost schedules to forecast estimated completion costs.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaison with Area Managers: Provide regular program updates to Area Managers.
- Support Site Staff: Assist site staff in their planning and reporting responsibilities.
- Review Monthly Status Reports: Ensure Construction Programmes satisfy Tender requirements, indicate achievable completion times, assist in Prelim’s and Supervision preparation, and are prepared in a recognized and agreed format.
- Critical Path Activities: Identify and report on milestones, critical path tasks, and long lead time tasks.
- Change Management: Implement a Change Management process for changes to the Master Program.
- Approval Processes: Implement a formal approval process for the use of program float.
- Planning and Management: Develop project timelines, assist in budget management, and ensure high-quality program delivery on time and within budget.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the key contact with clients for program modification or deliverables, advising on evolving project circumstances.
- Measurement Metrics: Develop metrics for client satisfaction, team efficiency, and project timeliness.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as required by the project.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Monitor Financial Performance: Oversee the financial performance of all program elements.
- Commercial Advantage: Work with Senior Managers to improve the commercial advantage of the project.
Required Skills and Competencies
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to persuade, convince, or impress others to gain their commitment and cooperation.
- Strong multitasking skills and sound judgment, balancing competing issues.
- Specialized knowledge of project scheduling and program logic networking.
- Demonstrable understanding of design engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning methodologies.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and their implementation.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Package.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 8 years of planning and/or project management experience in a construction/engineering environment.
