Job Mission

Our mission is to accelerate the restoration of the world's forests to capture carbon and combat climate change. As a part-time Marketing Specialist, you will be crucial in amplifying our message and engaging diverse audiences with compelling content. Your contributions will support our initiatives by creating and disseminating impactful marketing materials highlighting our forest restoration and sustainability efforts. You will be expected to work a part-time schedule (approximately 20 hours per week) through December 2024. Depending on company needs, there is the opportunity for this to become a full-time position. Join our team and help us spread awareness, drive engagement, and support our mission to restore the planet's forests.

Location: Remote; US preferred. Need to be able to work 5 hours of overlap in Pacific Timezone

Salary: $30 - $45 per hour at 20 hours per week

Responsibilities

Create engaging original content on climate and sustainability topics related to forest restoration.
Edit grant and RFP proposals to ensure clarity and impact.
Develop video scripts that communicate our mission and initiatives.
Edit a variety of materials for consistency and quality.
Write newsletters to keep stakeholders informed.
Create emails to engage and convert leads.
Repurpose content for different channels and audiences to maximize reach.
Write social media posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and other platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related work experience.
2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with content creation and social media management tools.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Passion for climate change solutions and sustainability, prior or existing work in the climate space preferred.
