We’re looking for an experienced Data Program Manager to prioritise and coordinate key transformational projects within our data science team within Octopus Energy Services.
This person will act as the primary point of contact for managing communication with stakeholders across the business, facilitating clear and consistent communication, gathering and synthesising stakeholder requirements and feedback, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and outcomes, and promptly addressing and resolving any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders.
What you'll do
Collaborate with the data team to prioritise tasks and projects based on business impact, resource availability, and strategic alignment.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive project roadmap for the data team.
Work closely with the Data Science Lead to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies.
Balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic projects.
Lead the planning and execution of quarterly project roadmaps.
Define clear objectives, key results, and success metrics for each quarter.
Ensure timely delivery of projects and initiatives.
Serve as the point of contact between the data team and other departments.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their requirements are accurately captured and addressed.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
Oversee the execution of data-related projects from inception to completion.
Implement feedback loops to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
What you'll need
Experience in project management, preferably within a data or technology environment.
Excellent prioritisation and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading data teams on implementing complex data projects.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
