Job Overview
The Analyst, ESG Consulting assists with developing high-quality project deliverables to clients on time and within budget. This role is responsible for supporting project leads in developing technical deliverables and ensuring efficient, quality, and technically accurate results.

Relevant Standards/Schemes

  • Environmental impact and risk assessments
  • GHG inventories (including scope 1, 2, and 3), goals, reduction strategies
  • Materiality Assessment
  • Protocols and brand standards development
  • Sustainability reporting (CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD)
  • Others, as determined

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Client Engagement

  • Communicate with clients effectively and professionally
  • Support project managers in client meetings
  • Ensure quality deliverables and client satisfaction

Operations

  • Complete technical project work to include developing GHG inventories, science-based targets, emissions reduction strategies, and others as determined
  • Support strategy project work to include conducting materiality assessments, benchmarking, stakeholder engagement, and others as determined
  • Complete project work focused on helping clients align with CSRD, SEC, IFRS, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and other sustainability reporting frameworks or regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other technical and project management staff

Program Quality and Development

  • Develop high quality deliverables to ensure client satisfaction
  • Complete work efficiently to ensure projects are on time and within budget
  • Stay informed, along with the team, on trends in sustainability and ESG reporting, regulations, and technical standards

Division Financial Management

  • Support project lead in meeting quality scopes of work on time and within budget

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field or
  • 4+ years of equivalent work experience and
  • 1+ years of experience in sustainability, energy management, engineering, or related field and
  • Experience conducting technical assessments including greenhouse gas inventories
  • Complete fluency in English with work experience that involves professional written and verbal communication
  • Effective communication skills, including report writing and oral presentation
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams at once
  • Excellent analytical ability and fluency working with data
  • Proficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and database management
  • Strong customer service and teamwork orientation
  • Initiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently under pressure in a changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field

Working Remotely
SCS is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This is a home-office based role and may include travel with local, domestic, and/or international trips. Details will be clarified during the recruitment process.

Estimated Annual Salary
$60,000-$75,000
