Global greenhouse gas emissions must be massively reduced to meet the Paris climate protection targets. Our climate protection projects not only save CO₂, but also promote sustainable development through technology transfer and poverty reduction.

For our team in Berlin, we are looking for a

Project Manager carbon offset projects  (d/f/m)

Your mission
Project Management
  • You are responsible for the conception and planning of technical projects in the global south, e.g. in the field of renewable energies, and you are responsible for the technical implementation (advancing construction steps and activities, developing and monitoring goals and measures).
  • Focus areas in the different atmosfair teams:
    • Global South: Expansion of renewable energies, e.g. through rural electrification.
    • Direct Air Capture: Development and construction of DAC pilot plants.
  • Once or twice a year you are on site in your projects for up to approx. 10 days, monitoring progress and developing contacts and networks.
  • You independently draft and negotiate contracts with local partners and monitor the economic and environmentally successful implementation.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that CO₂ certification (CDM and Gold Standard or successor mechanisms) and implementation targets are achieved, and that time and budget targets are met.
  • You take on cross-sectional tasks for all climate protection projects.
Key account management
  • For your climate protection project, you look after major customers as a key account manager.
  • You are responsible for participating in tenders of major customers and are in direct contact with customers and the sales team here.
  • You prepare materials and discussions with key accounts for the sales department and actively participate in these.
Your profile
  • An above-average degree in engineering, technical environmental protection or natural sciences,
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience with practical, technical relevance,
  • Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial thinking,
  • Self-initiative, independent working style,
  • Expertise and commitment in the field of environmental/climate protection,
  • Business fluent knowledge of German and English.
