Electrical Estimator – Contractor – Freelance - Casual

THE ROLE

Over the last few years our Western Region has been going through an unparalleled period of growth. We have been very busy delivering some of the state’s largest and most iconic infrastructure projects. We are currently shortlisted on a number of projects across the state and our work winning team is busy tendering a more diverse array of projects from a broader variety of clients.

We are now seeking the help of a suitably experienced HV Electrical Estimator to support our pre contracts team with preparation of pricing inputs for transmission construction projects across the region.

This is a fixed term six month contract. We are very open to speaking with Freelance Estimators that operate under their own ABN.

Key accountabilities for the position: 

• Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned projects.
• Revise estimates and implement necessary changes.
• Maintain client relations as the lead contact for proposals.
• Evaluate customer documents for tender/bid/quotation purposes.
• Coordinate bid inputs from organizational departments and subcontractors

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating projects involving electrical substations, LV, MV, and HV systems.
• Expert knowledge of technical standards in preparing estimates and project costings.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies and planning.
• Analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy with numbers.
