ComplexChaos is on a mission to help humanity cooperate at scale.

We are a pre-seed startup funded by Village Global (a VC chaired by Reid Hoffman and backed by Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and more) and angels including founder/CEO at OpenGov, Google's former Director of Security, and the founders of Mural, Pactum AI, WhatsApp, and others. Some of our advisors are former SVPs of Workday, Symantec, Visa, VMWare, Box, etc.

Alright, let's get into it! ComplexChaos is not just another startup on the block. Oh no, darling, we're here with a grand mission to use AI to help humanity come together and tackle those head-scratchingly complex problems. Sounds like a superhero comic plot, right? But it's real, and it's happening right here at ComplexChaos.

Now, let’s talk about the superhero we need: a Founding UX/UI Designer. This isn’t just any design gig – you're going to be the Picasso of pixels, the Da Vinci of digital. Based in the ever-bustling San Francisco Bay Area (with a sweet deal of some remote work because we get it, sometimes you need your space), you’ll be rubbing shoulders with our founders and engineers to create a design culture that's as groundbreaking as our mission.

Your canvas? The entire user experience. From the first stroke of user research to the final polish of visual design, you’re in charge. Interaction design, conceptual design, prototyping – you name it, you own it. We’re talking digital products that aren’t just pretty to look at but also pack a meaningful punch.

Qualifications? You gotta have at least 10 years of painting dreams into digital realities. Your portfolio should scream creativity and show us that you can handle the full spectrum of the design process across various platforms. Tools of the trade? Be a wizard in Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, or whatever else you’ve got up your sleeve.

You should breathe user-centered design and always put the user first. Conduct user research like a detective and turn those findings into design gold. Got experience in responsive web design and native app design? That’s a cherry on top. Your communication skills should be top-notch – we want someone who can talk design and translate it for everyone, from tech geeks to complete newbies.

Degrees? A bachelor’s or master’s in design or something similar would be great, but if your work speaks for itself, we’re listening. And if you’ve been in the trenches of a startup before, you’ll fit right in.

So, if you’re ready to design solutions that look good and do good, come aboard ComplexChaos. Let's create some beautifully designed chaos together!
