Structural Designer

<p>PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:</p><p>To participate with project engineering teams by completing the CAD effort in preparation of plans and specifications for engineering projects.  Assist in development of engineering studies.</p><p>SCOPE:</p><ol><li>Develop CAD Design work for projects.</li><li>Preliminary planning of the project as it pertains to CAD design.</li><li>Interpret specifications, drawings, and project scope in development of CAD drawings.</li><li>Establish and adjust work procedures to meet project schedules.</li><li>Perform field surveys in preparation for design activities and to assure adherence to performance/fabrication/design specifications.</li><li>Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and related details for projects. </li><li>Prepare drawings and specifications for equipment, buildings and construction materials. </li><li>Prepare construction documents such as building specifications and other bidding documents. </li><li>Consult with other CAD Designers to coordinate CAD activities with other engineering disciplines. </li><li>Perform other miscellaneous tasks as directed.</li></ol><p>RELATIONSHIPS:</p><p>This position reports to the Manager Civil/Structural.  A close working relationship will exist with project engineers, CAD Designers and other employees on projects as required.</p>
